Complaints

If we have got something wrong

We want to hear about it. Complaints help us improve.

How to complain

Use our contact form and choose "A complaint" from the list. Tell us what happened, what you would like us to do about it, and the safest way to contact you.

What happens next

  • We will acknowledge your complaint and tell you who is looking into it
  • We will look into it fairly and in confidence
  • We will tell you what we found and what we will do about it
  • We will use what we learn to improve how we work

If you are still unhappy

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can ask for it to be reviewed by someone more senior who was not involved in the original decision.

Complaints about the court or about a solicitor cannot be dealt with by us. For the court, contact the court itself. For a solicitor, contact their firm and, if necessary, their regulator.
